Public Recognition.
 
  1. Citizens' Comments.  [The City Council invites citizens to speak to the Council on any topic not on the agenda or not already scheduled for Public Hearing. Prior to the meeting, please complete a "Public Meeting Appearance Card" and present it to the City Secretary. The time limit is three minutes per speaker, not to exceed a total of fifteen minutes for all speakers.]

Presentation of Proclamations by the Office of the Mayor:

  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Ms. Luisa Retta and Ms. Peggy Schmidt, Representatives of LifePath Systems, Proclaiming October 2010 as Disability Employment Awareness Month.
  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Representatives of the Allen Rotary Club and Allen Fire and Police Departments Proclaiming October 25 - 29, 2010, as Battle of the Badges Week.
 
Consent Agenda.  [Routine Council business. Consent Agenda is approved by a single majority vote. Items may be removed for open discussion by a request from a Councilmember or member of staff.]

Approve Minutes of the September 28, 2010, Council Meeting.
 
  5.
Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract with the City of Dallas for the Purchase of Untreated Water for Irrigation at the Chase Oaks Golf Course.
 
  6.

Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Allen and Collin County for Design of Bethany Drive Improvements from Allen Heights to Angel Parkway (FM 2551).

 
  7.

Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Professional Services Contract with Grantham & Associates, Inc., in the Amount of $149,923 for the Design of Bethany Drive from Allen Heights to Angel Parkway (FM 2551) and Establish a Project Budget in the Amount of $300,000.

Motion to Confirm City Council Appointments to the Following Council Standing Committees for Fiscal Year 2010-11 as Recommended by Mayor Terrell: Convention and Visitors Bureau Committee, Finance/Audit Committee, and Mayor's Committee.
