  1. Citizens' Comments.  [The City Council invites citizens to speak to the Council on any topic not on the agenda or not already scheduled for Public Hearing. Prior to the meeting, please complete a "Public Meeting Appearance Card" and present it to the City Secretary. The time limit is three minutes per speaker, not to exceed a total of fifteen minutes for all speakers.]

Presentation of Proclamations by the Office of the Mayor:

  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Haleh Hekmat with The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center of Collin County Proclaiming April 2011 as "Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month."
  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Graham Gadd, Science Department Head, and the Ereckson Middle School Robotics Team Proclaiming April 26, 2011, as "Ereckson Middle School Robotics Team Day."

Presentation of Annual Report by Todd McIntosh, Chair of the Parks and Recreation Board.

Approve Minutes of the April 12, 2011, Regular Meeting.










 
  5.

Adopt an Ordinance Approving and Enacting Supplement No. 8 to the Allen Land Development Code.

 
  6.
Award Bid and Authorize the City Manager to Execute Contracts for Event and Catering Equipment Rentals with Ducky Bob's Event Specialists in the Amount of $27,386 and WGES, LLC, in the Amount of $38,510 for a Total Annual Amount not to exceed $65,896 with Contract Terms for One Year with the Option for Two One-Year Renewals.  
 
  7.

Award Bid and Authorize the City Manager to Execute Annual Contracts for the Purchase of Janitorial Supplies with Amsan in the Amount of $29,475; All American Poly in the Amount of $8,950; MANS Distributors, Inc. in the Amount of $7,800; Preferred Office Products in the Amount of $3,400; and Calico Industries, Inc. in the Amount of $1,515  for a Total Annual Amount not to exceed $51,140 with Contract Terms for One Year with the Option for Four One-Year Renewals.

 
  8.

Receive the Summary of Property Tax Collections as of March 2011.

 
  9. Receive the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Status Reports.
