  1. Citizens' Comments.  [The City Council invites citizens to speak to the Council on any topic not on the agenda or not already scheduled for Public Hearing. Prior to the meeting, please complete a "Public Meeting Appearance Card" and present it to the City Secretary. The time limit is three minutes per speaker, not to exceed a total of fifteen minutes for all speakers.]

Present Plaques-of-Appreciation to Former Members of the Various Boards and Commissions.

Recognition of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Male and Female Athletes of the Year.

  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Jesse Simmons, City Forester, Proclaiming October 27, 2012, as Arbor Day.
  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Stacy Gonzales, Chair of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board, Proclaiming November 3, 2012, as Allen Recycles Day.

Motion to Set Saturday, January 26, 2013, as the Date for the Strategic Planning Session with City Council.

Authorize the City Manager to Purchase Thirty-two Vehicles for Various Departments through Buyboard Cooperative Purchasing, State of Texas, General Services Administration (GSA) and Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC) Contracted Vendors: Philpott Ford for an Amount of $425,020.60; Reliable Chevrolet for an Amount of $363,705.14; Sterling McCall for an Amount of $341,296; and BullEx for an Amount of $71,210, for a Total Amount Not to Exceed $1,201,231.74.

 
  9.

Authorize the City Manager to Execute Facilities Agreements with Ridgeview Cumberland, Ltd.; River Trail Estates, Ltd.; and Cumberland Crossing Homeowners Association, Inc. Related to Maintenance of Non-Standard Street Lights.

 
  10.

Receive the Summary of Property Tax Collections as of September 2012.

 
  11. Receive the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Status Reports.
