Administration of the Oath-of-Office and Certificate-of-Election to Re-elected Mayor Steve Terrell and Re-elected Councilmember Ross Obermeyer.

 
Public Recognition.
 
  1. Citizens' Comments.  [The City Council invites citizens to speak to the Council on any topic not on the agenda or not already scheduled for Public Hearing. Prior to the meeting, please complete a "Public Meeting Appearance Card" and present it to the City Secretary. The time limit is three minutes per speaker, not to exceed a total of fifteen minutes for all speakers.]

Recognition of Reuse-a-Shoe Contest Winners.

 
  3. Presentation of Proclamations by the Office of the Mayor:
  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Emily Smith, Event Chair, American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Allen Committee Proclaiming May 30, 2014, as "Relay For Life Day."
  • Presentation of a Proclamation to Representatives of the Allen Americans Professional Hockey Team Proclaiming 2014 as "Allen Americans Year."

  4. Approve Minutes of the May 13, 2014, Regular Meeting.
 
  5.

Approve Minutes of the May 20, 2014, Special Called Meeting to Conduct the Canvass of the Election.

 
  6.

Approval of the Recommendations from the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Reinvestment Zone Number One (Garden District) Board of Directors Relating to Payments from the TIF Fund in the Amount of $648,277.41 from the City Tax Increment; $126,770.50 from the County Tax Increment; and a Payment to the City from the TIF Fund in the Amount of $15,000 for Administrative Support.

 
  7.

Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Apply for, Accept, Reject, Alter, or Terminate a North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) Regional Solid Waste Program Grant for Purchase of an Illegal Dumping Cleanup Tool Trailer and Hydraulic Lift Trailer.

 
  8.

Award Bid and Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract with SYB Construction Company, Inc. in the Amount of $44,164 for the Millwood Lane Water Line Relocation Project and Establish a Project Budget in the Amount of $51,000.

 
  9.

Receive the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Status Reports.

 
  10.

Receive the Summary of Property Tax Collections as of April 2014.

Conduct a Public Hearing and Adopt an Ordinance for Specific Use Permit #139 for a Restaurant with a Drive Through Use on Lot 5, Block A, Wal-Mart Supercenter, Located West of US75/Central Expressway and North of Exchange Parkway. [Allen Exchange]
